FUNDRAISER UPDATE WHOO HOO

Hi everyone

I am thrilled to announce that we made $450.25 and the money has been delivered and the goat "Ashwynd Sophia" will be paid for tomorrow and hopefully picked up at the weekend. So heartfelt thanks from my friend and her mother and we all pray that the unpasturised goat's milk from the lovely Sophia will help.

My heartfelt thanks to all the dozens of scrapbookers, cardmakers, my friends and family who contributed to this fundraiser. Your support is awesome!

I still have cards arriving in my mailbox so I will continue to sell these and the money raised will help with feed for the lovely goat!

Special thanks to my Thurs scrapping circle in Geelong (you know who you are) for not only making loads of cards but purchasing loads and loads of cards !!

Special thanks to my Ballarat scrapping friends who created stunning cards and thanks to Tracey for providing all the beautiful product for them to use.

Wow the power of women never ceases to amaze me !

So if anyone would like to purchase some lovely handmade cards (Jill and Jenny can vouch for these as they purchased lots) just email me and I can bring them for you to have a look!

A huge thank you to Jane Jones in Sydney - my online friend who placed the details on her blog and had an overwhelming response hugs Jane!

A brilliant result !

Thanks again

only 2 sleeps until the fundraiser for the goat!

One Woman's Story....

Linda is a survivor.
Twice over now she has been diagnosed with and beaten breast cancer.
Third time around has been a cruel blow - no-one expected the diagnosis to come back as terminal cancer....

However being the amazing woman she is, Linda is not giving up without a fight. In her effort to beat cancer again Linda has undertaken a massive change in diet; this is part of a Naturopathic attempt to fight the growth of cancer cells. No more sugar, dairy, processed foods - it's not an easy thing to do.
Dairy products are out, but goats milk in an unpastuerised form is allowed - only problem is that it is illegal for farmers to sell it unpastuerised, it is impossible to source or purchase.

One of Linda's children decided that buying a goat to be milked daily would be the only solution. A quality dairy doe named 'Ashwynd Sophia' was found. These animals are not easy to find, nor are they cheap hence a fundraiser was in order!

We hope, that through the sales of these beautiful handmade cards, kindly donated by talented scrapbookers from all over Australia that we can raise the funds required to purchase Sophia, and possibly even have enough to buy her feed for a few months.

Thankyou for your generosity!

I will keep you all updated with how much we raise and when "Ashwynd Sophia" is settled, I will post a photo!
Much love

special person award today

I have to share some very special news today with my lovely readers.
My stepson Greg, has been on placement at DHS this is his 2nd week.
He has finished his youth worker's course and hopes to help young people in crisis.
I cannot go into the details here - he saved someone's life yesterday!
It is something that was not in the course of his placement which makes it even more special - what a wonderful thing going through your life knowing you have actually saved a stranger's life!
Hugs to you Greg, I am so proud of you...

help from my scrapsistas

A friend (who has been estranged from her mother for years) has just recently been reunited and my friend's children now know their grandma - I am very grateful for this.
My friend's mother has breast cancer for the third time and I am asking if my scrapsistas would think about making just 2 cards (pref Christmas please) each so I can sell them to raise funds for this person having to go through this for the third time..
I really appreciate your help, please email me for my addy if you are able to help
